Disabled Stray Dog Overwhelmed with Happiness as He Gets Love for the First Time

Oksana Savchuk, an experienced animal rescuer with a deep love for stray animals, played a crucial role in this tale. One day, while she was out with her colleagues, they came across a Shepherd dog lying defenseless on the sidewalk. The dog had its eyes closed and was struggling to breathe, seemingly having lost hope. The rescuers quickly realized that the dog’s front leg was badly injured and infected, and without wasting any time, they provided immediate medical assistance.

During the dog’s treatment, he relied entirely on the staff for his care. But he made a speedy recovery and showed his appreciation to the volunteers. This heartwarming story reminds us of how compassion can make a difference and highlights the incredible strength of animals.

With great care, the dog was taken to the shelter where Oskana greeted him with a gentle pat, assuring him that he would no longer suffer from abuse. The Shepherd seemed to understand this, and in Oskana’s embrace, he became calm and subdued. It was a truly unforgettable and inspiring moment. Oskana decided to name the dog Jack, who unfortunately lost his front legs due to the previous incident, a heartbreaking blow for a dog known for being hyperactive. To address this, Oskana bought a special wheelchair for Jack, providing him with comfort while playing and running. However, due to Jack’s energetic nature, the wheelchair often needs repairs.

There is another resident at the shelter named Kolyasik who, like Jack, uses a wheelchair because of mobility challenges. Kolyasik has a talent for making friends with even the most unfriendly dogs but cannot be adopted by a regular family due to her specific medical needs. Despite their special requirements, both Jack and Kolyasik bring immense joy to the shelter. Jack, in particular, is a source of laughter and happiness. He is now in a state of contentment and is loved by everyone at the shelter, and treated as a beloved member of the family.

These Pics Are Art and the Artists Are Insects

Flying insects move so quickly that they are hard to follow, but new technology and some smart ideas have helped Spanish photographer Xavi Bou do just that. After spending 10 years focusing on birds in flight for his Ornithographies project, he turned his attention to insects.

For Entomographies, he uses high-speed video footage taken by Adrian Smith, an insect expert at North Carolina State University, to study and record how insects move. Bou then picks multiple frames and combines them into single images that show the fast movements of one or more insects through space and time.

With Smith’s help, Bou has captured the aerial tricks of wasps, the jumps of leafhoppers, and the fluttering of butterflies in amazing detail. He hopes that by doing this, he can make people more aware of the decline in important insect populations around the world.
