Mama Dog Chases After Truck as Her Puppies Are Taken Away

Babies would face hardship without the care of their mothers! We can all relate to the deep love and dedication that comes with motherhood, and seeing it in action fills our hearts with warmth. In this tale, a mother showcases the lengths she will go to shield her children from harm.

Karlee, a volunteer for dog rescue, embarks on a mission to locate a litter of puppies she learned about. As per her information, the pups sought refuge beneath a stack of wood on Jeju Island, South Korea.

The situation took a turn for the worse when locals learned that the woodpile would be confiscated and demolished. Given the expansive area, locating the puppies necessitated a team effort. Whenever the team arrived at the location, they diligently set up traps while providing food and beverages to attract the puppies.

The primary objectives revolved around locating the puppies and ensuring their safety. Karlee employed food and water to entice them away from the massive woodpile and into her care. Every day, during lunch break and after work, she diligently checked if the pups had been captured.

Typically, it takes about three to four days for the little ones to emerge. At first, they were terrified, but gradually their desire for safety overcame their fear. Although the initial phase of the mission had been accomplished, there was still more work to be done.

These puppies were part of a litter and were not on their own. Unfortunately, there was no information about how they ended up with their mother, who resided close by.

It was impossible to determine the distance the mother dog covered during her daily quest for food and necessities. Their routine involved returning to the location in hopes of finding their mother. After a few days of searching, they finally caught sight of her, marking a significant moment in their journey.

After the initial encounter with their mother, the process of rescuing her proved to be quite challenging and time-consuming. The street-smart stray mom displayed extreme caution towards humans and kept her distance.

Despite attempts to lure her with gifts and food, she remained resistant. The circumstances were dire, and due to the remote location of the island, conventional methods of capturing her were not readily available.

While the puppies were being carefully placed in the back of a truck, Karlee’s parents took charge of transporting them to her home.

Ultimately, the mother dog made a choice to chase the truck relentlessly, ensuring she stayed close and never lost sight of it, all the way back to Karlee’s house.

Afterward, the mother dog took a few weeks to feel comfortable moving inside the house. However, once she made the transition, everything was smooth sailing.

Amazing Video of Unseen Ocean Creatures in the Ningaloo Canyons

The Schmidt Ocean Institute recently explored the Ningaloo Canyons on the western coast of Australia using a robotic underwater vehicle called the ROV Sebastian. Check out the amazing video of what they discovered in the deep parts of the Indian Ocean.

These Pics Are Art and the Artists Are Insects

Flying insects move so quickly that they are hard to follow, but new technology and some smart ideas have helped Spanish photographer Xavi Bou do just that. After spending 10 years focusing on birds in flight for his Ornithographies project, he turned his attention to insects.

For Entomographies, he uses high-speed video footage taken by Adrian Smith, an insect expert at North Carolina State University, to study and record how insects move. Bou then picks multiple frames and combines them into single images that show the fast movements of one or more insects through space and time.

With Smith’s help, Bou has captured the aerial tricks of wasps, the jumps of leafhoppers, and the fluttering of butterflies in amazing detail. He hopes that by doing this, he can make people more aware of the decline in important insect populations around the world.
