Man Records Ice with Cameras and Shows the Reality of Climate Change

Man Records Ice with Cameras and Shows the Reality of Climate Change

James Balog and his team were on a photography expedition in Greenland when they stumbled upon something remarkable.

James and his colleagues had been gathering pictures from camera traps set up around the Arctic Circle for a considerable period. They were in the process of selecting perfect shots for their documentary and had no idea of the astonishing events unfolding before them.

James Balog, an experienced nature photographer, had been skeptical about the climate change he had observed despite his expertise in the field.

For about 20 years, James had been mocking the scientists and doubting the concept of global warming.

“I didn’t think that humans were capable of changing the basic physics and chemistry of this entire, huge planet. It didn’t seem probable, it didn’t seem possible,” Balog said.

In 2005, while observing the impact of climate change on nature up close, James became aware of the devastating issue.

During an Arctic expedition, he witnessed firsthand the immense damage caused by these changes.

Ten years later, James created his film “Chasing Ice,” where he documented the melting of glaciers using a large number of cameras.

Through his spectacular footage, he captured one of the most breathtaking scenes ever witnessed. However, this magnificence also serves as a reminder of the ongoing extensive destruction.

Believe it or not, James Balog and his team watched a piece of the glacier the size of Lower Manhattan collapse into the ocean in just an hour and 15 minutes.

This scene was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as it represents a historic moment, highlighting the severity of Earth’s climate situation.

We are facing an unparalleled geological catastrophe.

You can watch the scene video here:

In November 2016, the Arctic recorded its highest temperature, which was 20° higher than the average.

The only way to halt the changing climate of Earth is to completely eliminate global greenhouse emissions by 2070.

We hope that this video will at least convince our audience of the severity of the situation.

Please share this article as much as possible to raise awareness about what Earth is facing. Let’s work together to reverse this devastating trend. Wishing you all the best until we meet again!
